Find My Batteries

Keep track of the batteries in your drawer and the devices around your home.

Need help? Email contact@darkbyte.uk. Include your phone model, app version and the steps that caused the problem. Please leave out private household details and purchase receipts unless we ask for them.

Keeping counts up to date

Add your spare batteries to Storage, choosing their size, type and quantity. Move batteries to a device when you use them. Search Devices by name or location to find them later.

Use the actions on a device to transfer batteries to another device, return them to storage or retire batteries you no longer use. Returning the last battery closes that placement. Use a stock adjustment to correct a storage count.

Counts are entered manually. The app does not measure charge, track charging cycles, detect batteries or check electrical compatibility. Follow the device and battery manufacturers' instructions.

Free inventory and Pro

The free app supports one battery size. The optional one-time Pro purchase adds unlimited sizes, CSV export and adjustable low-stock thresholds. There is no subscription; the purchase screen shows your store's local price.

If you have already bought Pro, use Restore purchases with the same Apple or Google account that made the purchase. Purchases do not transfer between Apple and Google. An unfinished or pending purchase will not unlock Pro until the store confirms it.

When restoring access, connect to the internet and check that your store account is signed in. Existing inventory remains readable and batteries can still be returned if Pro becomes unavailable.

Photos, exports and local data

Photos are optional. If access was denied, change the app's camera or photo permissions in your phone's settings. The app keeps its own copy of selected photos.

Pro CSV export opens your phone's share interface so you can choose where to save or send the file. CSV files contain inventory details, without photos, and cannot be imported as app backups.

There is no account or cloud sharing service. Your operating system may back up local app data depending on its settings. Deleting local inventory in Settings removes inventory and the app's photo copies; it does not delete your original photos or exports saved elsewhere.
