Website privacy

This website introduces the software and services of Paul Hepple, a sole trader trading as DarkByte Creations. For privacy questions, email contact@darkbyte.uk.

Browsing this website

The website does not include analytics, advertising trackers or embedded third-party apps. Its fonts and images are served from this website. Website hosting may process technical information such as IP addresses and access logs to deliver pages and operate the service.

Getting in touch

Email links open your own email app. The copy-email button copies the public contact address to your clipboard when you choose to use it. It does not read your clipboard.

If you email me or use the enquiry form, I use the information you send to respond and discuss your enquiry. Please include only what is needed to describe your project, and leave out passwords, payment details and other sensitive information. You can contact me at the address above about information you have shared.

Enquiry form and spam protection

The form sends your name, email address and project description to contact@darkbyte.uk. The website does not keep a separate database of your message. Enquiry emails may be retained while discussing or carrying out a project and for relevant business records. You can email me to ask about access, correction or deletion of information you have shared.

A necessary session cookie protects the form against forged requests. It is not used for advertising or analytics. Server checks also use submission timing, a hidden bot-trap field, and sending limits. Keyed hashes of network and email identifiers, submission times and opaque request references are used for spam prevention within a rolling 24-hour window. Expired records are removed on subsequent requests. The message itself is not written to those records. Hosting and email providers process information needed to operate and deliver the service.

Other websites and apps

Product and store links take you to other websites, which have their own privacy information. For the Find My Batteries app, read the separate app privacy policy or visit app support.
